What is Remote Fulfillment?
Remote Fulfillment by Amazon (formerly known as NARF) allows you to sell on Amazon.de, .fr, .it, and .es using inventory stored in the UK (or US).
How It Works
Store inventory in one country. When an order comes from another marketplace, Amazon ships from your inventory location. Delivery times are 3-5 business days.
Pros and Cons
Pros: Single inventory pool, no VAT registration in multiple countries initially, lower logistics complexity. Cons: Higher fulfillment fees, longer delivery times, less competitive vs. local FBA.
When to Upgrade to Pan-European FBA
Once you consistently sell 50+ units per month on a marketplace, it makes financial sense to send inventory directly to that country's fulfillment centers.
Setup Guide
Enable the program in Seller Central under Settings > Fulfillment by Amazon. Opt in to each marketplace you want to sell on.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Remote Fulfillment free to enable?
Enabling is free, but you pay higher fulfillment fees compared to local FBA due to cross-border shipping.
Can I use Remote Fulfillment from the US?
Yes, NARF (North America Remote Fulfillment) lets US sellers sell on Amazon.ca and Amazon.com.mx from US inventory.
