What is Remote Fullfilment?

Which ones should be used first and why?
Let’s say you are selling in America. Your stock in the Americas is available for sale throughout the Americas. For this, you only need to release products to the US FBA. However, these products will not go on sale in Canada or Mexico just because you sent the products immediately. First of all, you should make BIL / global listing settings and list the products.
The products are then automatically translated by Amazon, for example into Spanish. This translation is incredibly inconsistent. It is necessary to update this. When making this update, the feed fileda (currently mexico) US2MEX fulfillment center should be selected.
This is called“remote fulfillment“.
You would think that the same price would be charged for distribution on this continent. You are wrong.
Right now I have a product of x volume, 20 dollars and I list it in Canada from USA stock. The shipping of this product costs 8 dollars, not 3 dollars. So amazon charges this remote fulfillment fee to the seller.
Amazon, in Canada, the US2CAD fulfillment method should be used if we are not releasing Canada-specific goods.
Let’s come to Europe…
Here too there are Pan EU countries and the UK. Here all products must be individually set to Amazon_eu.
Sometimes amazon will send you an email saying “you are eligible to list your products all over Europe. If you do not opt out, your products will be included in the system.” And you think you have won something. In fact, it is a notification that some products will now be included in the amazon_rafn status, that is, on the remote fulfillment network, and will be sold in other countries in Europe.
You know that mail you don’t care about, that item that until now you couldn’t figure out why amazon shipping fees are higher than expected.
Beware that you may be losing money on your sales.
What is the truth?
For the UK you need to ship to the UK, for Europe you need to ship to Europe. The fulfillment network feed file content of all products in the UK and Europe should be set to “amazon_eu”.
If I am sending goods to Amazon UK. If we say that we want to sell from there to all of Europe, the situation is different, or for example, in some of the stores I manage, I am now selling by taking the RAFN fee. But if you have a tax number in Europe, both in England and in Germany, for example, this RAFN should never be used. You might even be missing out on where you are making a loss while trying to reach more customers.
You may not have found information on this subject anywhere. Unfortunately, I could not get this information from English sources or customer service. We learned it by trying different methods ourselves.
